A switch to KickBoxing for Anthony Joshua?

And yet he was the author of a victory with art and style over Francis Ngannou.

Indeed, the former UFC heavyweight champion, who until now had had a successful reconversion to English boxing, lost by a devastating KO to the English heavyweight boxer, the celebrated Anthony Joshua.

And while he seemed to be in the midst of a period of doubt, the English champion succeeded thanks to this victory in dispelling the critics, especially as the Cameroonian boxer had managed to hold his own throughout the fight, against the other English boxer Tyson Fury.

Still on top :

With his victory over Francis Ngannou, the English boxer reassured his fans that he was still on top. And to further reassure his fans and admirers, Anthony Joshua regularly publishes training videos.

A relentless worker, the former Olympic champion prepares hard in order to put all the chances on his side, and return to his best level. But a recently published video is beginning to raise questions about a potential reconversion for Anthony Joshua.

A switch to kick-boxing?

A video recently posted on DAZN’s Instagram account shows the Englishman practicing kicks on a bag, a bit like kick-boxing or MMA fighters.

As you can see from the video, which has been shared on the official DAZN page, we see Anthony Joshua throwing punches without protection or gloves, while also throwing circular and direct kicks.

Anthony Joshua seems to be doing well, even if his technique could be improved if he hopes to be as complete with his fists as he is with his feet.

Many fans are surprised to see this video broadcast, as few boxers have successfully made the transition to fist-fighting, but the opposite is true, and the latest example is Francis Ngannou, who from the start of his career has been fighting heavyweight headliners.

Perhaps this comes on the back of his victory over Francis Ngannou, which could have given him dreams of greatness beyond the boxing world, and that would involve him trying his hand at points footy fights.

But at 34 years of age, this seems impossible for the British boxer, whose name is often associated with the likes of Deontay Wilder.

A fight between Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder could take place this year, and would be an answer to the expectations of fans of the noble art, who have long wanted to see him in a fight against Deontay Wilder, or his compatriot Tyson Fury.

Recalling his last defeat by Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk in the summer of 2022, Anthony Joshua is on a 4-fight winning streak, the last of which left the boxing world stunned with his devastating knockout of Francis Ngannou.
