After a year out of the ring, Gervonta Davis announces his comeback against Frank Martin.
Indeed, after his hard-fought victory over Ryan Garcia, and while facing some legal problems, Gervonta Davis is back in the ring, to the delight of spectators.
Scheduled for June 15 at the famous MGM Grand, the 12-round bout does not involve any title, and could be synonymous with a preparation fight for a future title fight, for Gervonta “Tank” Davis.
A feared boxer, the man known as “the face of boxing” had badly outboxed Ryan Garcia, giving him numerous body blows to weaken him, before finally inflicting a terrible knockout. Shortly after his victory, journalists and other boxing specialists had predicted a brutal end to the Baltimore-born boxer’s career, given that he was likely to spend some time there.
Indeed, the 2012 Golden Gloves Champion boxer, and who the current super featherweight champion, had been found guilty for an incident that took place in November 2020, where he was involved in 4 hit-and-run related incidents.
In addition to the long-awaited return of Gervonta Davis, who is expected to face Frank Martin, we will also see another battle at the top, that of DAVID BENAVIDEZ who will be facing OLEKSANDR GVOZDYK, for the Interim WBC Light Heavyweight Title in the co-main event.
And so, to mark the 100th anniversary of the MGM Grand Garden, fans will be treated to two fights at the summit, and above all will see the grand return of Gervonta Davis, who seems to be interested in a future fight for the belt.

A face-off that promises a very hot fight:
The face-off between Gervonta Davis and Frank Martin was far from cordial, with the two boxers warming up to each other and exchanging provocative words. In fact, Gervonta “Tank” Davis is known for his provocative side which unleashes the pre-fight hype.
With these two duels at the summit, the evening of June 15 promises to be spectacular and to provide boxing fans with plenty of entertainment. Despite the fact that the fight is a non-starter for Gervonta Davis, his return to the ring after a year’s absence is already eagerly awaited.
For Benavidez, on the other hand, he’ll have to prove that he’s a fearsome and feared boxer, and that he needs even more legitimacy from promoters and other boxing professionals.
