Joe Joyce VS Dereck Chisora in London

Here’s another heavyweight clash we might have forgotten. Considered to be the veterans of the heavyweight category, Joe Joyce will face his fellow countryman Dereck Chisora on Saturday July 27.

The two, aged 38 and 40 respectively in the case of Dereck Chisora, will finally face each other. Considered to be veterans of the heavyweight division, this fight between these two living legends of the heavyweight category seems to have been on the table for some time now, and now it’s finally going to happen.

Scheduled to take place at the O2 Arena, the fight is set to be broadcast live on TNT Sports, and already promises to be a great spectacle.

Joyce, who has 16 victories to his name, including 15 by KO and 2 defeats, will be a tough opponent for the other Briton, who has no fewer than 34 victories to his name, including 23 by KO and 13 defeats in his career.

On paper, victory looks rather easy for Joe Joyce, but that’s without taking into account the adversity of the boxer he’ll be up against, who has already faced some of the biggest names in the category, such as Carlos Takam, Dillian Whyte, Senad Gashi, Artur Szpilka, Oleksandr Usyk, Joseph Parker and Kubrat Pullev. Incidentally, Chisora is coming off a victory over Gerald Washington in August last year, a fight which took place at the O2 Arena.

But Joy Joyce has nothing to be ashamed of either, having recorded important victories over big names in the category such as Carlos Takam, Daniel Dubois and Joseph Parker before coming second in consecutive WBO Interim title fights against Chinese giant Zhilei Zhang.

Both fighters are striving to return to the top of the world heavyweight division that currently dominates the combat sports landscape.

« Il s’agit d’un véritable combat de poids lourds à l’ancienne qui semble avoir pris beaucoup de temps à se préparer »

A déclaré le promoteur Frank Warren.

The full undercard including Dennis McCann, Henry Turner, Archie Sharp, Sean Noakes and Aadam Hamed and others will be announced in the coming weeks.

Tickets for Joyce vs Chisora are O2 Priority pre-sale from 5pm today (Wednesday May 22), onsale tomorrow (Thursday May 23) and on general sale at 5pm on Friday May 24, available from axs.com and ticketmaster.co. United Kingdom.
