Lomachenko wins against Gambosos

Vasyl Lomachenko has once again confirmed that he is a great boxer and managed to dispel the critics who had predicted a hasty end to his career.

But this was without counting on Vasyl Lomachenko’s strength of character. And that’s how he captured the IBF lightweight belt.

In total domination over George Kambosos:

On Sunday May 12 in Perth, in front of his Australian opponent’s home crowd, Ukrainian boxer Vasyl Lomachenko, former featherweight and super-featherweight world champion, was able to dispossess champion George Kambosos of his IBF belt in front of his home crowd.

With this latest victory, Vasyl Lomachenko is the current IBF lightweight champion after his victory on Sunday May 12 over Australian George Kambosos, who lost by referee stoppage in the 11th round.

So, at the age of 36, many people are wondering about his career, and where it might end up. In fact, at the post-conference press conference, Lomachenko declared:

« I am world champion again. I want to go home and spend time with my family.»,

said the Ukrainian

With these words, Lomachenko provides no details on the future of his career. We’ll have to wait the next few days to find out what’s next for the new IBF champion.

Lomachenko was previously the reigning WBA, IBF and WBO champion, losing to Teofimo Lopez, who in turn lost to George Kambosos. After this victory, the boxer was unable to repeat the feat in front of his Australian fans. After the fight, he declared:

« HE’S ONE OF THE BEST OF ALL TIME. I DID MY BEST, BUT HE’S A TRUE CHAMPION. »,
